A good looking motd, which isn't found on most servers. ![]() Making a discord, skype chat, and forums. Hiring only the best staff, and no staff hunters. Hosting with a company (and steering clear of places like server.pro :P) Reading tons of articles on how to run a successful server and following all the tips. Advertising on 20+ server lists, inviting friends, YouTubers, etc. Custom coding a professional looking website. Ex: "Hello and welcome to the server! How are you today? " Being extremely nice and talkative to players. All spawns, warps, and arenas are high quality and custom built. So far we have tried over 7 of these custom gamemodes. (Ex: instead of SkyBlock custom terrain is used to create an infinite world of floating islands) Spinoffs of common gamemodes, which include survival, creative, and pvp. (Ex: Custom terrain to create an infinite apocalyptic landscape, with zombies, guns/weapons, abandoned cities, and stretches of destroyed land) Completely new gamemodes, which were mostly survival. We have tried all suggestions possible, but for some reason people don't like new and unique servers. So as well as mining and crafting, you'll be battling gym leaders, walking in long grass and catching many mob-based Pokémon. Now, my CoOwner and I have been trying to run even a slightly successful server for 2 years, with absolutely no luck. PixelmonCraft is based on the original regions of Kanto and Johto - and not only are the many towns and areas faithfully recreated, but the gameplay also. Pokémon-themed servers have taken Minecraft by storm, and PixelmonCraft is just one of the many blocky homages to the Nintendo phenomenon. In true pirate fashion, however, ships can be stolen - so be on your guard. You can dock at ports also and join the other landlubbers to trade with a functional currency, and even store your treasure in safe zones. The ambitious server does take some time to get used to, but is worth learning for the impressive ship-to-ship combat. ![]() Pirate ships aren't the most compatible mechanic to implement to Minecraft, but Piratecraft does a surprisingly admirable job of bringing the golden age of piracy to blocky life.
